New Race Format For The Autumn / Winter Championship

In an effort to move things along with the clocks going back and the evenings getting darker earlier, as from this Sunday for the winter series only, the committee and members have agreed to drop one final. This now means we will be running 3 heats and one final for the autumn / winter series only and 2 finals for the summer. In addition to dropping a final we have moved the booking in closing time to 9:15am Sharp and racing gets underway at 9:30am on the dot. With these additions there should now be no reason for racing to finish any later than 3pm.
This has been done for those who race more than one class to get batteries charged and motors skimmed for the next round. It also saves drivers spending many hours out in the freezing cold and allows members to get away earlier while there is still light.
Look forward to seeing you all this Sunday
Please be on site to book in on time !
P.S The tyre situation for the coming year are as follows: I don't advise at this stage buying any new tyres as the control tyre is likely to change shortly. The wear rate and tyre life of the current control tyre (RP30's) are poor and not to the drivers expectations, The BRCA have agreed and are looking to change. After the BRCA AGM it has been put to a drivers decision as to what tyres are used for 2008. The Drivers are currently voting and the BRCA committee will make a decision in due course as to what we will move over to.
